After scoring 5 runs combined in their last 5 games, frustration with the offense was starting to mount in the East Hampton dugout. But the players took out that frustration in a healthy way on Friday by breaking out in a 14-5 win at home over Shoreham. Deilyn Guzman, though no always accurate, was effective as Bonac’s starter and got ample run support. Guzman helped himself in the second by hitting a solo homer which sparked a three-run rally. Brendan Hughes chipped in with his first varsity homer in the sixth. Brandon Brophy, Ryan Joudeh, AJ Bennett and Hughes all had three hits and Cameron Yusko was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. East Hampton hosts the tough Phantoms of Bayport-Blue Point on Monday.
